ELDM - ENGR 408 and 493
ENGR 408 is the gateway course to the ELD minor and is taken in conjunction with ENGR 493. Students who successfully complete ENGR 408 and ENGR 493 (B or better) are eligible for entrance into the minor.
ENGR 408 focuses on leadership concepts, principles, theories and relevant literature. In addition to providing students with an academic foundation in leadership, the course emphasizes oral and written skills development.

ENGR 493 serves as a 1 credit applied “laboratory” complement to ENGR 408 (Leadership Principles, 2 credits). The educational outcomes for students enrolled in ENGR 493 are the observation, reflection on, and practical application of topics covered academically in ENGR 408 as well as project results and the specific knowledge gained through project work.
